Sold-out crowd witnesses dominant performance as FC St. Pauli secure three points

In front of a packed Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor, FC St. Pauli produced a commanding display to defeat SV Darmstadt 98 3-0 on Saturday night. The victory cements Pauli's place in the top half of the table and extends their unbeaten streak to five games.

Pauli took the lead in the first half through a clinical strike from Guido Burgstaller. The Austrian forward latched onto a through ball from Daniel-Kofi Kyereh and slotted home past Darmstadt goalkeeper Marcel Schuhen.

The visitors doubled their lead in the second half when Jackson Irvine headed in a corner from Leart Paqarada. Irvine's goal all but sealed the victory for Pauli, and they added a third late on through a penalty converted by Kyereh.

The result leaves Pauli in eighth place in the Bundesliga standings, while Darmstadt remains in 12th place. Pauli will be looking to continue their good form when they host SC Freiburg next Saturday, while Darmstadt will travel to face FC Augsburg.
